Choose Your Own Adventure hired me to update the brand of their "Classic" book series. They wanted a more modern look, but also felt it was important to maintain some elements from the original series.
I chose to bleed the artwork, which in many cases took a lot of Photoshop work since the original art specs were not as large, simplify and enlarge the border, screen the art outside the border to make the interior image pop and furthered that pop by choosing a neon Pantone for the border. This also allowed for the title of each book to get considerably larger than the original design, seen below "Zombie Penpal".
