Choose Your Own Adventure (Chooseco) desired a new website to showcase their revamped book series that carreid their brand online in a fun, interactive, and other-worldly way.
Similar to the books, I designed a portal to another world using a map of the world as the backdrop with book characters placed according to each book's location as navigation. Books that took place in space found homes in the ocean. CYOA also wanted to show artists, writers, and the founder of the series, Ray Montgomery's travels. I created a compass (not shown below) to switch the maps out to show this content. I worked with a Candian developer reatined by Chooseco to create the site.
The site was very successful and maintained for 2+ years until CYOA transitioned to a storefront model that I also helped design and develop with another Canadian company.

In conjunction with the new website, I also had the great privilege of designing interactive "Secret Online Endings" for the Classic book series. Readers would get to a choice-point in the book where they could choose to go to a specified URL to play a game to continue the story. The managing editor would give me the game specs and I would gather images from the book and develop graphic elements for the games that developers in India would produce Flash driven games for. I personally LOVED these games and have them hosted on my website that I still play sometimes.
